LUDOX® AM-FS is an aqueous dispersion of colloidal silica that contains Ethylene Glycol for freeze stability. It is designed to have improved pH stability.
LUDOX® AM-FS is a 28% aqueous dispersion of colloidal silica with a particle size of 12 nm. It is an excellent binder of metals, ceramics and other inorganic materials. It is formulated to give broader pH stability than standard alkali stabilized grades and can be incorporated at neutral to slightly acid pH to yield a stable formulation. Because of this it is useful as an additive in functional coatings and adhesives as a reinforcing agent, binder, and surface modifier. Because of it's freeze stability this grade is recommended for use in low temperatures.
