Made with DOW PuraGuard™ Propylene Glycol USP/EP, monopropylene glycol with specially formulated packages of food grade industrial inhibitors that help prevent corrosion.
Regular DOWFROST™ inhibited propylene glycol (PG) DOWFROST™ is comprised of about 96% PG and 4% corrosion inhibitors. All ingredients are food safe, that is to say they are classified as GRAS (generally regarded as safe) by FDA and are approved as direct food additives. DOWFROST™ is the product of choice for the food processing industry. It is undyed and has water white appearance. DOWFROST™ offers effective heat transfer over a slightly narrower temperature range than DOWTHERM™ fluids: from 0 F to 250 F. The higher minimum recommended temperature for PG based fluids is because PG has higher viscosity and is more difficult to pump at low temperature. DOWFROST™ inhibited PG can provide freeze protection down to -60 F. DOWFROST™ is offered in various concentrations and package sizes. Krytox™ GPL255 grease is a special product with fluorescing agent.
Krytox™ GPL255 grease is a special product with fluorescing agent in it to allow the use of a black light to determine the uniformity of an application. It is not intended for routine application as lubricants without qualification testing. The fluorescing additive is present at low levels, but its effect on lubrication performance has not been tested. Base Oil Viscosity, cSt 20 °C (68 °F) = 550 40 °C (104 °F) = 160 100 °C (212 °F) = 18 NLGI Grade 2 Appearance - White and buttery Allows the use of a black light to determine the uniformity of an application. Use black like to uncover surface areas where grease coverage is absent. For applications requiring 100% surface coverage or for applications with surface areas intentionally excluded from being covered by grease. Under ultraviolet light, the products give off a yellowish green color that is visible to the unaided eye. The only equipment necessary is a standard broad spectrum ultraviolet lamp, commonly known as a “black light.” Lamps that emit long wave ultraviolet light in the 365 nm range are available from almost any industrial supply company.

Krytox™ XP-1A1 Oil products, formulated with soluble additives, are high-quality, ultra high performance, anti-friction and anti-rust lubricants. Krytox™ XP-1A1 Oil for extreme pressure performance has viscosity of 8 cSt @40°C.
Krytox™ XP-1A1 Oil products are formulated using patented soluble additives. In the past, there were no additives available for the oil, because of the inertness of the oil and insolubility of available additives. The soluble additive won’t be washed away. These patented additives enhance the performance of Krytox™ PFPE greases and oils, giving them improved performance properties. Krytox™ XP-1A1 Oil products will hold up under tremendous load conditions, preventing metal-to-metal contact and thereby reducing wear. The long-term anti-rust properties repel moisture, providing extra protection against corrosion of metal parts and bearing surfaces. ISO Grade of Base Oil: 7 Estimated Useful Temperature Range, °C: –70 to 104 Base Oil Viscosity cSt @40°C: 8 Oil Viscosity Index: N/A Pour Point °C: -70°C Food Contact Approval: None Krytox™ XP-1A1 oil will extend bearing and component life. The anti-corrosion protection of the additive will reduce rusting, and allow longer grease and bearing life. The extreme pressure additive protect bearings under high loads. Bearings run quieter and wear less, because there are no solid additives to make noise. This product also demonstrates excellent resistance to water washout when used in wet environments. While Krytox™ XP-1A1 oils are inert and non-reactive to all elastomers, plastics, and metals, the soluble additives in Krytox™ lubricant XP products have not been tested with all materials. When in doubt, please contact your sales representative.
